Service manual calls for contact cement under rubber boot and between some of the seals. Can someone provide a good product to use?

yes. final drive seals, boot and follower assembly.

I use 3M8001 yellow weather strip adhesive. They also have a black product that is the same thing but I don't have the number for it. Auto Zone has it. Brake kleen off and air dry all surfaces this glue is expected to adhere to. I think it will work for you. I've used it for 50 years on valve cover gaskets, which have oil sprayed on them all the time.

Several years ago someone on this site recommended 3M #847 Nitrile High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive; I used it on the final drive seals of an HD5G, so far no problems

Loctite 380. We are using it on the front idler seals on an HD6.
