In my experience if you can get it hauled for that with the price of fuel you might better let them do it before they change thier mind. Unless im missing something it will take 2 loads with the width of those heads. I wish you luck with it and thats just my 2 cent

I’d check with a couple of brokers. There are links on Equipmentfacts and tractorhouse. You don’t know until you check with a couple of companies or that has been my experience anyway.

I paid $1000 a couple months ago to have a combine, no heads, hauled about 100 miles and thought I got a decent deal. Between the price of fuel and the price of maintenance parts and supplies, I couldn’t fault the truckers.

I paid $1170 for a tractor with duals hauled 300 miles. Duals were removed. It was not over width. Two weeks ago.

Total Miles? Town in Michigan?
If you’re not in a hurry, maybe try your local farm equipment dealers for a quote? Depending on the route, your local dealers might have a load going to Michigan? And if so, then might consider hauling your N6 on return trip for negotiated price. N6 could have 20’ header & 8-30 cornhead, so most likely a two trip affair?? In a hurry, then consider driving N6 to OH & pickup/trailer both headers?? |
