I had another great weekend, getting to see this tractor one more time !!  I noticed a couple of more experimental parts that I missed 3 years ago when I first viewed it. The left lift cylinder is of the newer large rod design like most 185's had and the right lift cylinder was the old small rod V-packing. I imagine they were testing one against the other for reliability. The brake latch was clearly a prototype design and a good thing they didn't go with it, as it wasn't safe and difficult to lock the pedals. Also, I've come to the conclusion the fender design hadn't been finalized, so these are hand made because of that. If you look at pictures in Swinford's book on this tractor you can see the fenders were undecided. And finally, this tractor now is located in a new home !!  Plans are already in the works to possibly bring it to the Kalona, Iowa show in June. Stay tuned. Nope. It's not at my place.

DrAllis, Thanks for all your shared knowledge of this historical AC prototype. Have / are you contemplating a possible “tractor drive” with this G226 One-Eighty beauty?

I am not, but the new owners may. If there is a short ride during the Kalona Show, that could be an opportunity I suppose. If so, I might bring my One-Seventy high platform tractor to the show too.
