The big thing with Model M's when they don't want to run right especially at low speeds is the intake tube through exhaust manifold, it is thin tubing and you know what extreme heat cycles and time do to thin metal, makes for a huge vacuum leak. This is a very common problem and easily repaired. I don't know what happened to the M in Sunflower Valley, the owner passed away some years back, I went to school with his kids over 50 years ago but I have no idea where they are now.

As far as I know this M has been on my neighbors place from at least the 1960’s to when I acquired it. No brazing on the side of the block either, I’m actually having trouble getting it running now it has spark all the way up to the caps on the magneto now and I don’t see any carbon tracking or corrosion keeping the spark from entering wires. It’s a fm magneto has a brass rod that threads in coil and that rod lights up my spark tester, cap and rotor have continuity as well. I replaced condenser about 5 years ago could that be the issue?
