I've been so grateful and impressed by all the help with my recent post that it has emboldened me to ask a different question: How unusual and special is my little Model B that it has a front end loader?? Mine has a "manufactured" loader made by "Horn-draulic" in Dodge City Iowa. It's one of the big things that made me decide to buy this particular tractor because I live in the mountains of Colorado and hope to use it for snow clearing and hauling firewood. So how rare is it to find front end loaders on these smaller old tractors?? Bill

Not very popular. After you use it a bit you will find it's limits and see why you don't find loaders on these small 2WD tractors. I don't know your particular loader, but I've seen a few B,C & CA tractors broke in half due to the stresses of a loader.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Fort Dodge, Iowa. Not Dodge City.

Don't mean to be discouraging.  It would be fun to have a loader on one of my B's but not sure how functional it would be. I assume it's a trip loader with factory hydraulics? It will pretty slow as far as loading and dumping snow goes. But you have not said what you are going to clear. Flat drive, deep snow, packed snow? I have done it with a WD-45, loaded chained tires and a trip loader and finally went a different route.

Everything is impossible until someone does it! WD45-trip loader 1947 c w/woods belly mower, 1939 B, #3 sickle mower 1944 B, 2 1948 G's. Misc other equipment that my wife calls JUNK!

Oh! You're right! Sorry bout that....Ft Dodge Iowa.

Yes it has a simple pin release bucket so I expect it will be clumsy to really move much snow but I've got a short driveway and my area of Colorado really doesn't get that much snow typically plus this is my first tractor so I'm hoping it'll be kinda fun at least for a while. And hopefully I won't get too enthusiastic and break my tractor in 2!

as long as your PUSHING the show or lifting a small bucket occasionally, it will work OK.. You can use it for lifting a few hundred pounds instead of using your back !!.. Not really made for a loader, but occasional LIGHT use would be fine ... and come in real handy on small jobs.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
