Finally got it to start after suffering through -30 F wind chill for two days.

The undiluted jug of antifreeze I had sitting beside it for top offs was the consistency of a half thawed slushy on Sunday. So it gets a pass for not starting in the subsubzero temps.

Sunny and 50 degrees here , a nice day . Used my D 15 and chain to pull a fat lighter stump this morn . It was beside my shop and I was tired of tripping over it . Hope to do some harrowing with our 6' disc soon . Thanks

Went to back it out of the garage, the 8 year old 6v battery finally had enough.

Had the 6080 out yesterday doing some work on tile standpipes. Took a couple of loader buckets of dirt that Dad had put on the South side of the property. Apparently that's where he dumped ashes from the wood stove. I found more crap in that dirt! I guess around those standpipes is as good a place as any for it, try not to drive real close with the tractors or combine.

There's some pictures. Picked up an old cut nail somewhere, luckily it didn't hurt anything.

Spent part of the morning plowing about a foot of Shameless "pretty" out of the farmyard and driveway!!  The WD fired up right away this morning at -20C after siting idle most of the winter.  Guess the "pretty" just arrived late!Angry

February: Replaced the reverse idler gear on the One Seventy, fixed the shift fork and put a loader on it. A week of fabrication as the loader came from a Minneapolis Moline Jet Star. Just finished doing syrup with the 175 toting wood and sap collection.

This is a 'what I did for' my Orange tractors type post. Bugged out of the auction after the tractors sold and headed South to look at an 880 Oliver. It's Okay, no power steering and a little high on the price. It is a diesel. They also have a 1650 gas, really kind of liked it, drives nice. Hydra-power works great. There again, little high on the price, and it's a gas. Oliver is the feature at our local show this summer and I'd like to have something to park on the hill. 1755 diesel about top of the list. Have a nice 4-14 565 semi-mount to hook to one.

After talking with these nice people and since I was less than 20 miles away, called up Luke R. We had talked about a pair of wheel weights the last time I visited him and Dale. Stopped in Osky and picked up a solenoid for D 17-1, and a piece of pizza, then continued on. Was kind of a quick visit with the guys, Luke showed me some treasure he picked up at the swap meet. Really need to get back down there.

Now if I can just get that D-17 to cooperate, will use it to mount the weights on the 6080, hopefully. Should add, broke down and took the starter to a shop, it now has a clean bill of health and is residing comfortably in the tractor.

Hooked a buried stump with my 6' disc harrow yesterday . Left the 20" disc at the scene . Stopped my old D 15 dead in it's tracks for a couple seconds and then took off . Looks like a new disc is about $50 . Hope it's not too hard to replace . Thanks

Have a few areas in the pasture that need reseeding due to stump pulling and heavy cattle traffic. Used the 7045 to work these areas with a smaller disc then a 3pt spring tooth harrow

As an aside, does anyone know what brand/model this is? Its orange but no markings I can find

No idea what brand that spring-tooth is but see your accountant making a cameo in the picture.

I disced the garden with the NF 45 and did a bunch of loader work with the 6080. The dirt in the garden is REALLY mellow! Was going over the spools on the disc. Even planted some radishes and turnips.

Got the #17 loader mounted today, moved some dirt around the yard. Works awsome. Talk about a trip down memory lane. We had a #17 loader just like this on this tractor when I was growing up.

Yup, and it's still roaring! Used the NF 45 to pull the 450 out of the shed and turn it around. Then put the weight bracket on, (the 450) and picked up the front end with the 6080 and pushed it in the shed. My 450 project hit a snag and it had everything blocked in the shed. In need of a good cylinder head for it currently.

There would be a lot less joy here at the farm without that NF 45! So handy. About 90% of the time when things need to get shuffled around, it gets the call.

I hope to make the NF 45 here more useful as well now that I have it running again. One item is returning the snap coupler hitch to the New Idea rake and use it as I did growing up

Took the bale spear off the 180 and put the bucket on. Brought up 14 buckets full of compost and put on the garden. Hadn't done this for two years and it needed it.

Going to throw the All-Crop Drill on WD Micha today. Buddy of mine has some waterways that need seeded, going to do that Saturday or Sunday. I love running that little drill! Not sure if I have any that need done this year or not? Need to get out and have a look.

Graded my driveway with the blade. Fixed the entrances where the county dug nice ruts when they did the road, and added a better drainage pitch and smoothed the rest of the run. It was a blast.

7040 and 4 bottom plow. Turned over an acre of sod.

Go easy on me. This plow has not been used in 10 years and sits outside. The grease washed away so the sod didn't slide as well as it should and didn't shine up much but its done. With no guidance I adjusted as seemed appropriate.
