My notes say 12.656" and came from a Machine Shop.

Thank you, very much, I'll use your figure. That gives me a start at calculating compression ratio and piston selection if, I need to do that.

Does anyone have a junk 226 piston, with a good, cup head so that I can measure the cup capacity? I'll pay the postage and report my findings here.
