I had a leak on my power steering hose on my 45, and am going to have most of the oil drained to get the hose swapped with my new one. I am wondering what oil is best for it? I have 55 gallon drums of John Deere hydraulic oil, and of Low Viscosity Hy-guard hydrostat oil. Would the hydrostat oil work better than regular hydraulic oil?
Thanks! |

I can't remember what I used after I rebuilt mine. Service book says to use SAE20W non-foaming motor oil. I would say that either one of what you have will work just fine.
