My friend has put a factory power steering unit on a WD45 diesel that formerly had manual steering.  He has not yet installed the lever (about six inches long) that attaches to the starter motor.  Does anyone know if the tractors with factory power steering and without power steering used the same lever?  The parts manual does now show any difference for power steering and manual steering.  For the life of us, we can see how the lever can fit with the power steering unit on the tractor.  There just does not seem to be enough room.   Thanks.

Farrell,  there are two levers and when you have the power steering on there, the non power steering lever will not work.  The lever for the power steering sticks straight out to the side of the tractor at a right angle to the frame rail, the earlier lever pointed to the front at about a 30 degree angle.
