The breather on the valve cover on my 45 doesn't have any material inside anymore. All gone. Does anyone have a source for steel filter material I can put back in there? The cap on the air intake needs some too.

Yes that will work and cram it in there tight. Now on the breather cap I like to use copper scratch pad. Really all you're doing is keeping the bugs and wasps out. The media in the canister traps a lot of the dirt and the oil gets the rest.

I think Steiners or DJS sells the proper material for the air cleaner.  Try searching their online catalogues.  I have never seen any material in the air cleaner caps though...
