What is the normal expected compression on a WD engine.  If that is too hard to answer, what would the compression be on a standard rebuilt WD engine.  Thanks, Den

The original 201 gas engine had a compression ratio of 5.75:1; that would result in approx 90 psi compression. However, after market rebuild kits that have higher compression ratio pistons have been around for a long time. 100-120 would be a tight one. If all cylinders are fairly equal in compression (within 5psi of each other), 80-100 should run smoothly.
