I'm getting ready to do an awesome Interview in the next month or 2, with an Allis Chalmers Dealership owners (son). We will interview and cover the dealership from the 40's, 50's and 60's. If you have 2 or 3 questions to ask a dealer owner, what would they be?
(BTW- I will be posting the videos on my youtube channel Corn Picker Country, if you haven't subscribed go for it!) |

How much pressure did AC exert to sell the entire line - such as implements, hay line, combines? What was the dealer sentiment when AC brought on the Gleaner line.
How well did the dealers work together back when dealers were in about every county.

What was the best selling piece of A-C equipment you ever had to offer as a dealer?

Ask them if what they know about prior years/decades of sales and service , would Deutz tractors would have sold better if they had convinced the Germans to paint them Orange ? Our neighbor has several older ones and he continually brags how much more fuel efficient they are compared to the new Massey he bought several years ago.

What were their AC dealership’s biggest challenges?
Which department (sales/service/parts/etc)of their AC dealership produced the most net profits, year in, year out? |
