I tore into my transmission today, problems I have are all on the top end of the transmission. Gears are all ok. Bearings are shot. At one time I had a parts list on my computer favorites, but it seems to be missing. Must have gotten deleted. The parts list that I had was from one of the original parts books. I can't remember how to get back to the parts list. I am aware that they are on Amazon, but I am trying to find the one online. Also, I am looking for a diagram that will show me how the bearings go on the main shaft. I am thinking that the parts list will show me. I would be much obliged if anyone can help me.

From my experience with an AC Forty Five grader there is a pretty good chance those will be just off-the-shelf items. See if you can read manufacturers codes off what you have and you'll likely to be able to go from there.
Minnpar might be able to help - and others your side will likely chime in. Our local (Australia - abbreviated to Oz) supplier has an ancient printed catalogue which would translate your Allis numbers into standard bearing talk - you might have trouble finding someone with one of those. ATM I can't remember the title. |
