no they r not the same at all,although it may work,the proper cap is actually a mechanical fuel guage with a plastic float if u buy a new one at simplicity

I agree with Toscani.  I bought a new one (with built in gauge) from Sandy Lake a couple of years ago.  This cap has threads to match the tank.  I have not found any tractor caps that are like this.

My 620 has a gauge cap also. Can't see what the gauge says, so I'm assuming its original.

Steve, you can get some scrap plexi-glass from a window glass replacement place. Use a hair dryer too form it and cut it to size to replace the one that you can't see threw.
