I have posted this on the "Show and Events" link. I know this is area is for "Farm Equipment" but I want to share our LATE club's news.

I realized that I have not posted ANY information about the 2011 Orange Spectacular/Gathering of the Orange!!! Please excuse me.
Our Orange Spectacular/Gathering of the Orange was attended with huge Allis-Chalmers fans. Friday we had about 3000 attending, Saturday morning, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 4626 people had passed the entrance gate. On Sunday, 2029 had come to our all Allis-Chalmers show. After the three (3) day Orange Spectacular / Gathering of the Orange show was over, 12, 155 people had come onto the show grounds!

There must have been at least 500 people on the showgrounds by Thursday as they were looking/buying in the swap meet, tractor/implement displays and vendor displays.

As for the tractor count - 265 tractors, not including the 23 D-19's, plus 7 industrials, 2 military, 12 constructions, 129 implements, lawn and garden tractors 75 and 64 pieces of L&G attachments. That should add up to 573 pieces of equipment/tractors on the showgrounds at once! What a display! "Thank you" to each and everyone that brought SOMETHING to share with our guests to the Orange Spectacular/Gathering of the Orange. Without you, the show would have been nothing!.

Raffle winners are as follows:

1st Prize - Jared Groth, Garber, IA

2nd Prize - Stan Stensaas, New Hope, MN.... took the cash prize and left the B-1 Lawn and Garden tractor behind. He lives in the city and he has no room to keep a L&G tractor.

3rd Prize - Joy Robertson, Utica, OH...took the cash prize (too far to travel) and left the new Allis-Chalmers riding lawn mower .
