Maybe I can sneak this in here for a quick response,,,,,Clap I heard on the radio that the senate had voted to STOP their paychecks whenever the govenment was shut down, from this day forward,,,,?
This seems to be a big secret on the news and I'm now  curious,,,,Have the House members followed suit,,,?

No... not in the House.

-----------
Key Details on the Senate Action:
  • Passed unanimously (99-0): Senators approved a resolution introduced by Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) to block their pay during shutdowns.
  • Effective Date: This rule takes effect after the November 2026 midterm elections.
  • Back Pay: Senators will still receive full back pay once the government reopens.
  • House Status: While similar bills have been introduced in the House, the lower chamber has not yet passed this specific mandate. [1, 2, 3]
