Cast centres interchangeable 7000 series

   Axle sizes differ from the 7040,7060,7080 ,but are the outside of the axle wedges the same across all  models? So can a 7040 casting be swapped with say a 7080? 
Reason why is my bare back swinging drawbar 7060 and 7080 have near on  a foot thick cast centres and i have converted them over to 3pt and with the 50 ft 3pt cultivator weighing them down was thinking of getting the thin cast centers that the 3pt tractors have and doing a swap , thanks
