1973 200, losing hydraulic fluid from left to right, hydraulic to diff? Realize it will require a split, anything I can do to get me through a few months until I can properly repair? I was thinking maybe a siphon hose??? Idk. TIA

I dont know how to overcome it externally but my daddy put a spicot on the differntiak drain and kept a gallon jug and a funnel and transfer fliud for three years until he traded it for a 7040

You can plumb them together to equalize them. Fill to the higher level of the 2 dipsticks. Probably thru the drain plugs. Someone with experience hopefully will answer with more details.

Temporary fix has been to connect the Hydr & Tran/Diff compartment by going from front to rear drain plugs with a hose.  
 I worked on clutch in tractor that had been connected that way to get thru planting. 
 They'd removed 1/2" npt plug in torque tube & installed a 90 and reducing bushing 1/2 to 1/4", drilled & tapped tran plug to 1/4" npt, installed brass 1/4" 90 and ran a 1/4" hose between them. 
 F Y I; A word of caution the Tran plug is directly above the drawbar, and there's not much clearance between drawbar and the 90.

I recently did based on the pictures in the post above after finding oil dripping everywhere on the drawbar after about an hours use.  I originally thought it was coming from the rockshaft as it was dripping from there but now I am thinking it may be coming from the lift cylinders.  I installed the catch can to eliminate any metal shavings finding there way from transmission to hyro reservoir.  I have a strong magnet in the bottom of the catch can as well. Wanted it semi-permanent as I will not be able to try spitting the tractor any time soon. Never split anything as large as the 190.
