From the time I was Kid I remember this hanging inside neighbors wagon shed ,his brother lived there and worked for this company , his Sister gave this to me when I ask her what ever happen to it .She said she kept it and has no one to pass it on to .It kept well for being over 50 years old .

I kinda figured that. That's why I said "outside" temp. 70 is perfect to work on the Chevelle. Is it running and drivin' yet?

I got this 55 Chebby I'm workin' on in the outside wire shop. Doin' a complete wiring system on it and designed the fuel delivery system for this big funny lookin' engine hanging out of the engine compartment where the hood is supposed to be... LOL! Not mine. Customer's car.

Man, you get them cool signs every once in a while. I definitely need to get out there this coming June for the Streetrod Nats. Need to do a shake down run with the Nova Wagon and stop for a visit. We haven't hung out together in a while. Gotta' bust that El Camino out too!

Have an old Polarine thermometer here in the shop that reads about 58 degrees . Pretty close for being so old . Been wondering about Fred's 46? Chevy truck ? Any progress ? Thanks !

Back to the first question, I grew up in that area and left there in the mid 60's. I don't recall those names but that means nothing. I was 20 miles NW of the other side of town. South Omaha was a big deal then and there was an ongoing argument on who had the biggest stockyards in the world Chicago or the stockyards in South Omaha.

Nice looking truck Fred. You say it’s a 1946, I know where her twin sister is. I don’t know if I have enough ambition to buy it and get it running, but I got a 403 Oldsmobile just begging for a project like that.

Fertilizer was made from tankage from the slaughterhouses and packing plants around the Omaha stockyards. Haul cattle and hogs to Omaha, bring a load of fertilizer and/or Falstaff back…

From 1955 into the 60’s, Omaha was bigger than Chicago. |
