Are the days of good old tri metal brgs long gone? Preference is 112 series Clevite. Guy at regrind shop says last pricing he has for them were in 2005. Sounds like NLA! He said things were moving to the "A" series brgs. Aluminum brgs don't handle FM very well and I do my best for cleanliness but..... what's the scoop?
Just a daily driver farm tractor I bought recently with 4700 hrs and fresh M100. It's got Clevite 112's in it so someone changed them. Dated 96(rods) and 97(mains). Little copper showing in #5 main cap. Pulled #5 rod cap checking size but didn't push rod up and check upper shell yet. Cap shows wear mark but no copper there(of course).

On the net I find "Legendary" Mahle Clevite Tri-metal CL-112 heavy duty engine bearings. Clevite Tri-Metal bearings are rated at 12,000 psi, the highest in the industry. They are more resistant to corrosion and outperform traditional bearings by 20% or more. That makes Clevite bearings the best in the industry today. *** Maybe I need to see if they still offer them for A-C engines, specifically the 2000/649 and 3000670 series.

They are listed at different sites but all indicate last of June delivery. The ship hasn't left yet....
