It did. They had a few One-Ninety parts to use up, and it always was slightly larger than the new 185 tractor.

Interesting. Stamped on the right side and a straight One-Ninety, not an XT.

Stamped on right like a 200. Any 190 within the serial number range mentioned above, 31118-31140 would only be a straight 190 Diesel. XT production ended before that. They really should have given them their own model and serial numbers, so many people get confused. Did some end up being built as Hi-Crops? Interesting thread, the first tractor I drove at 7 years of age was a 190D, that was a 69 or 70. I still have the hand written receipt dated 1970 when dad bought it new.

Ok so if they aren’t labeled it. Is there any difference. I mean we always get a 190xt series III. But are these last ones have all the things in the xt series III

I can think of two things that would be different between the late One-Ninety and One-Ninety XT series III after s/n 23001 and newer as far as the driveline goes. The XT would have had a hydraulic oil cooler ahead of the radiator, where the One-Ninety did not and the Power Director and PTO clutches disc/plate count total could have been different between 77 HP and 94 HP. But that should be it. There is no logical reason why the differential wouldn't have been 4-pinion style in BOTH tractors, to keep the parts differences between models the same. The only way any of us will ever know for 10000% sure is for someone to pull the PTO shaft on one of these 1973 models and look up inside with a flashlite, assuming the tractor is still original.

That is the beauty of a 190D, you'll probably never see the differential lol! I know ours just ran and ran. We bought a used XT and had lots of problems with it, then it later got traded for a new 7000 with cab and AC, and we were really up town then lmao! The hired help could ruin an anvil though.
