Wanted to share my findings that may help other big guys. I weight 350lbs and the CA seat spring was just too soft. after experimentation i found Monroe shock 555002, Summit Racing 2.5id 12inch unspring length coil over 110lb spring are a good combination. the original spring caps were too small for the spring so i heavily modified some qa1 aluminum flat spring caps to work, but probably would have been better off making something out of steel. Originally i tried 175lb spring but it was way too stiff, did not compress at all with me in the seat.

If you have a CA operators manual, it shows the 2 positions for the stock seat shock/spring mount for light/heavy operators, however I think it is fair to say the 350Lbs is an overload for the stock parts.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

I installed a Harley shock on my CA. Bought a new pair in the box off CL for $20 - Progressive Suspension 412-4037C 412 Series (Chrome) Harley 11.0". Had to modify the top and bottom mounting bolts a little. Seems to work well for me, but don't weigh that much.
