Wondering which is a stronger combination. I have heard the straight cut wd gears are stronger than the 45 gears and will not jump out of gear. My grandpa was told that 45 rear end and transmission is stronger. This would be for a wd pulling tractor.
hi my names dan, I am a young guy. i have a problem, i prefer my tractors orange and my clutches mechanical, thanks for letting me share

Late WD/WD45 helical gear transmissions are STRONGER than the old straight cut gear transmissions.  The early D-17's essentially had a WD-45 transmission in them.  Low gear is a little slower in the helical gear tranny.
