Can someone with a calipers and a liner out of a B engine do me a favor? I need to know the O.D. of the bottom of the liner. Thanks much.

Marv, I measured a brand new liner as 3.678 at the bottom and 3.712 up just before where the O-Rings go.
I also checked a used (but still usable) liner and it measured the same. Hope that helps. Steve |

Would these numbers be the same for my 1938 B, 1.9ltr - 116.1ci engine?

Prior to 1943 116 cu.in had 3.25 dia. pistons, 3.5" stroke 1943 and later 125 cu.in had 3.375 dia. pistons, 3.5" stroke Not sure about the liner O/D's. Gary |

I was thinking I would like to cut a sleeve puller disk.

That's what I need the OD for. I gave a machinist pal some scrap metal to make pullers for both a WD sleeve, and a B sleeve. But, the other day I put the liners in the B and never measured the bottom, and it's impossible to get to now!

you can take NEW oversize bore sleeves and put in a 116 inch OR 125 inch block....... so the blocks have the same bore for any sleeve. ... 3 1/4 , 3 3/8 , 3 7/16 overbore

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

What would be the recommended disk diameter be for pulling 116ci B sleeves?

The best pulling disk would have a shoulder turned on it to match the sleeve bore so it stays centered and the outside diameter less than the outside diameter of the sleeve.
