Got to play with our "new" series I xt this weekend. Originally we bought it for parts but now think we are gonna save it and make a loader out of it. It gets water in the engine oil but I've fixed 3 of those so far so not unfamiliar with that but it has no hydraulics at all. No lift drive or steering. Oil is full pump is quiet. Is there anything besides a pump that could cause this? Also we did get coolant running out of the bell housing or above when we winched it onto the trailer...is there a soft plug in the rear of block? I've never had a 301 completely out of frame...this one will be coming out as the rear seal is out of it.

It stopped on the previous owner while running a brush hog for a few hours so I doubt it lost prime so I guess I'll check the splines. I'll probably just wait till I pull the engine

Looking a littler more I found out the hyd level was near empty when it got hauled but my FIL had filler it before I got there. So I'd better make sure the pump has not lost prime....so how do I do that
