I need the really thin gasket paper for my B oil pump.  As I understand it, the paper gasket should be around 0.007 inches.  The thinnest paper I can find is 0.015 inches.  Any suggestions for suppliers of this paper?  Or can I use a paper bag or piece of paper?

That's about 3 human hairs. I don't know if wax paper would hold under the heat or not. Parchment paper probably would. I'd think you'd want something that compresses a little.

Yeah, I guess it will compress.  I'll try the 0.015 and see.

You could always get the correct "already made" gasket from Agco. I can still get the hydraulic pump and PTO gear box gaskets for the WD/WD45 from them, so the oil pump gasket for the B/C/CA should be available, I would think. Rick

The end play was too great with the 0.015 inch gasket.  I got some 0.007 gasket paper and that worked within the specification for end play (0-001-0.003).  Thanks for the help.

I was wondering how thick (thin ??) an aluminum pop can is ? it'd compress a weee bit.

Dad used to call it onion skin paper, not sure if that is a technical term or farm jargon?
Every B/C pump I have worked on had enough wear on the end of rotor and blades that the gasket is not needed for clearance. I flat file the case and cover only enough to remove burrs then bolt the cover on without a gasket. if it turns over with no stiffness take the cover off add a THIN bead of silicone bolt it back together and its ready to go.

When I bought a C I got several gasket kits and one had multiple thicknesses of gaskets for the oil pumps. Bob
