Hey guys. Having an issue with the d15. There is a small coolant leak at the front of the engine. I have warmed the engine and given a little more torque a couple of times and that doesn't seem to be helping the leak. I'm thinking about pulling the head, getting a new gasket but using this copper spray a gasket stuff when I install it? Any first hand experience on this from you all? I also have a couple of gaskets that are leaking I thought about replacing with this stuff. The side PTO cover plate leaks as well as the side transmission cover plate has always leaked a little. That spray works great. But I would also replace the old head bolts if I pulled the head to fix it. My d15 with a 160 gas engine did the same thing and when I tried to torque the head bolts one snapped off. I don't remember what bolts I got but there is a posting about 2 years ago here in my name about it if you search you can probably find it. That spray does require that you put it on a clean gasket to work.

Did you try a Stop Leak product? The best was Bars All, I think that was the name, it was brown liquid with what looked like brown capsule in it.

Perhaps the 'exhaust manifold stud' goes in to the water jacket,
therefore the threads would require a thread sealant during assembly.

lol I was bored last night reading through that thread and I was like man I can’t wait to get to the 12th page to see how beautiful it looks my wife started yelling at me to get off my phone and then I seen that was the last page ha ha oh well..

D15 digging post holes. Been using the tractor. Maybe one day I'll paint the sheet metal... :)
I got to give credit to Rick's clutch. The post hole digger would catch roots and suck down then stall the tractor. That clutch never slipped. He asked, when I sent my clutch to him, if it was a show tractor or work tractor. I'm glad I told him it'd be working.

The detailed effort you put into this restoration is amazing. You sure should be proud of that family tractor. More than one of us would have declared that project too big of an undertaking based on how it started. Great work!
