Strange Grain Bin Observation

I've been riding with a co worker the last 3 weeks so I get a "different" perspective of the surroundings . I've noticed a (pretty sure due to the area) a Brock 30'x7 ring bin that has an odd 2' diameter "lid" that I assume covers a hole of some type (smaller than a Brock roof lid) 3 rings up and a half sheet over from the "climb in" hatch. Sadly, from the bottom of the round "lid", 2 sheets straight down are ripped open like a zipper . The rip stopped short of the seam of the upper "climb in" ring, but it's obvious that this bin site hasn't been used in at least 20 years . What could the possible use of the upper hole be used for ?? It's way too high to be a side unload, but could it have been an entrance for a "too short" of  a fill auger ?

	The too short auger would make a little sense.
