I was helping my buddy one winter cleaning out a cattle shed with compacted corn cobs and straw that had been used for bedding.  Had a 300 bushel IH tandem spreader loaded completely.  The apron chain broke and I had to unload the whole spreader by hand.  Not a fun job.

A very good friend of my dad and long time neighbor and dairy farmer had a saying. Anytime his wife would have something non farm he needed to do, he'd say, "I'd rather be hauling sh**." And I think he was being honest.
Make sure the wind is in your face before you turn the spreader on Macon. Been there, done that.

The only good thing about our spreader truck is the windows
