Not orange but felt worthy to share.
First piece of equipment we bought on our small farm in Ga. Moved to my Grandparents farm in Pa. Which is much bigger and just haven't found a use for it. Still sad to see it go. I installed a new hour meter on it when I purchased it and it currently showed just under 900 hours... Cool little machine. ![]() ![]() Edited by Macon Rounds - 31 Mar 2025 at 6:40pm |

The model "70" John Deere was quite popular and wasn't built by Deere. Owatonna 330 Mustang was the exact same rig with different paint on it.

My dad owns an Owatonna 340 (the same as a JD 90) that we use for random jobs that are tight.
It’s very handy to have around when it’s operating correctly… Does yours have an Onan engine? |

My dad had a 90.
My father in law has a 60. Hauled the 90 in the back of the pickup many times. |

Engine is a Onan CCKA.
Similar to what is used in the Allis 620 and 720's... Pulled the Engine several times for maintenance but never overhauled. It would have been perfect with a 25 HP diesel... |

I've got its twin parked in a corner of a shed. Best little pig t**d chaser ever, worked good to clean sidewalks too. Not much of a dirt digger though. It's an Owatonna 330 in disguise.

Owatanna was a good name back in the day. They made a lot of swathers if I remember correctly!
Wow. Just did a bit of research. Apparently Owatonna invented the skid steer. They bought the patent design for the swather from someone else. In business from 1888! Edited by Ed (Ont) - 02 Apr 2025 at 2:00pm |
