Will know Friday LATE and into Saturday.  Saw a machine in a ad from MN.  2007 Bison 3H with Living Quarters, One 6' slide out for Dinette area, 16' shortwall which is actually Huge, a Sleeper Sofa as well the sleeping berth above the tongue(Goose Hitch).  Photos are still on Twin Cities Featherlite Trailer Elko MN.

Photos show it as very Clean and Nicely attended over its life of 17 years, even the stalls area is limited wear and tear.  Has Rear Ramp, a few odd functions could care less of but only on lot a week and already had one contract, could Not Achieve finance as too young, No One to Cosign.  Has a few Bumps Bends and Dings outside, but IS 17 years old.

Driving up to Elko MN Friday Morning, 8-8 1/2 hour run of 505 miles, IN the KW, was told if Like it and writing Check, can take home SAME DAY.  Will just have to await shipping of title and paid receipt as All Funds are in their hands.  If do not like it or needs far too much work we did not see in photos deal is OFF and we get a two day run getaway in the Big Blue Beastie.

I hope it works out. I’ve always thought one of those would be much better built than a regular camper.
Will you haul the motorcycle along in the back?
To me that would be awesome.

It SHOULD have Dexter 8.000# Torsion Axles, Dexter does not offer a Lifting Block for that series, suggested I Roll My own out of 2x2 Sq Steel .250 wall.  It will need a Lift.

We are home, all four of us, Me Wife Big Blue and the camper/hauler. Empty no Horses it weighs just at 13,500, GVWR Is 17,700. Appears as has 7500 axles as inspected which makes sense with LW trailer pinned to truck 3-5k transfer and the rest on the axles.

Towed sweet, even in wind next to no drag, damnable iowegian Roads are monstrosities. Every expansion cut on base pavement transfers even thru resurfacing just done. Sucked.

Empty, bobtailing to MN at 1525rpm, 70mph managed 8.7mpg. Have not refueled to know what got coming home but will be reasonably close.

So just finished adding 4' width to side park area by workshop, cut away sod and added Inch base, packed with the old Pickup then parked the new acquisition.

Our Events.  512 miles to Elko MN, got call from sales gal as the wife tested her were just at 25 miles into Minnie Sota.  Notified us of BAD accident had I35 tied down just south of Faribault, we had to detour thru Medford then into Faribault by her instructions and ended up perusing the Somali Ghetto region of S Faribault, JEEZ what a Mess directions wise.
Got to dealer, 3:30ish tired, been on road since 5:45am a few rest room stops and get out walk arounds.  Trailer walk thru was not disappointing, we agreed to the sale where wife asked Magic Question, what if we had said No, sales gal said would not have lasted thru Monday afternoon, had four more waiting for Our Inspection.  Completed the buy headed to hotel as was already their closing time.
Saturday Morning ate breakfast at Hotel in Lakeside not far from dealer then rolled down to Flying J and fueled up for return.  Trip Odom had a flat 640 miles with running around I did here at home, just under 74 Gal so right at 8.7mpg after found the engine and running speed sweet spot.

So Sat, final walk thru, had hitch at Highest Set point they could place and I backed under then we got final paperwork.
End result out by 10:20 and on the Road.  A little over 8 and a half hours later pulled it up our drive in the dark, parked and gave up for the day 546 odom miles showing.  Detours, reroute around BAD section of IA 5 from Albia via route 34 to US 63 S.  NOT much Better but less distracting with the crappy roads.  Several Stops, Check Tire heat, look over for anything loosening up, so on.

First back Under
