Wondering if anyone has added one to their Tractor as I have? Trying to come up with a way to discharge back into the Hyd Section of Torque tube besides the Dip Stick Hole/Vent. May have to drill a side plate and add a fitting, is one Boss on Right Side of torque Tube just up and left of PD access plate, APPEARS to have a drive cup plug in it wondering if that is factual where can pull it to outside and tap that hole.

I've had one on a couple tractors. My 560D mounted on the front and my 7010 mounted on the three point. Worked better on the 7010. 1) 11000 pound tractor has a lot less bounce than a 7000 pound tractor. 2) big fat return line going straight to the sump allows that ram to drop with no resistence.

Would you consider tapping a hole in the Pulley Drive area cover to add a fitting appropriate to sump?

Change of plans after discussion with Dr Allis
Going in dipstick port, 1" 8tpi threads. Turned this adaptor out this morning, is thru drilled 7/16" currently, will upsize a little as get a swivel fitting to fit the line off the driver. Will then drill and tap head end of adaptor then square off two sides and slot thru the threads into main body for vent path. Threads extend into housing so should be no oil blow back up too bad on threaded area. |

Bought a 3/4 NPT fitting and welded it to head of Adaptor, return line is 3/4npt.
Weld not so pretty but will do just fine, made vent slit across threads so do not really over-pressure the hydraulics seals in the Torque Tube. Specs are 3/16" vent slot, 1"8 tpi adaptor thread, 1 1/4" x 3" bar stock drilled 5/8" thru and a steel 3/4" npt M-F swivel fitting. Have made and glued a gasket with Indian Head adhesive to the Adaptor face. Can screw in or out by hand, hex head on NPT fitting makes a handy wrench spot if tightens up. |
