I've located a 7000 motor to exchange for my 344 ac motor. It looks like the front shroud over the radiator is designed to pivot or swivel down allowing the engine to be slid out forward. Should I anticipate any difficulties putting in this motor? Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you have any way of chaining the bucket up, do so.  Remove all tin work.  Remove the floor boards.  Remove the shift lever, Remove the radiator cowell, It will tip forward, but is much easier if it is off.  Remove front hyd pump. Remove the radiator and all linkages and the Ujoint at the back of the transmission.  Remove the tranny with the engine.  When you have the tranny out, check your clutch brake adjustment.  It is much easier to do with the tranny out.  If the new motor has the hyd pump mounted on it, remove it and ck the wear in the connecting sleve before you reinstall the engine.  Just nuts and bolts.

Thnks for the reply. I've had no luck in trying to loosen or remove the front pivot with the 1/2 inch square plug (maybe it's 3/4 inch) I twisted the head off the breaker bar. Yes, I'd much prefer to remove the cowell.
    Thanks,
