That’s how I contacted him. I talked to him on the phone about my mag and he told me about the magnet recharging, but I ended up buying a rebuilt mag and sending him mine for a core.

Everything I read says that alnico magnets do not need to be recharged. FMJ magnetos use alnico magnets.
