You should consider pulling the top end out of the auger swing cylinder and dropping a 2 inch piece of pipe down in the barrel to get that unloader tube up in the air about 18 inches. Done a couple dozen like that and it really helps.

Sounds like a good idea to me. My L2 with same length auger had slightly better reach.
