The Duible's run "Pumpkin gone mad" a D21 out of the Ann Arbor MI area and then there's Runnin Bare out of OH a 8030? Can't forget the incredibley successfull NTPA super stock "Young blood" a DT series AGCO or the super farm stock puller Cash burner from sw MI.

I guess I havent thought about it in a while but when I was real little we all used to call the B "Sweet Allis". I guess that could be one too. I saw it was the name of that D-21 someone posted earlier and that reminded me of it.

Not a pulling tractor, but I call my WD loader "Allis Scooper"
Pulling tractor names I would use would be, "Haulin' Allis" or "Clockwork Orange" after the Stanly Kubrick film. Brian |

I am gathering parts for a unstyled WC puller now. It is going to be called RIP VAN WINKLE. Brought back from the dead for a reawakening. Just a bunch of old bones put together LOL

Funny I never saw this thread before. As I've been around pulling for more than half a century now, I've seen many names repeated over the years. Back in the 70s I've known of:
Mean ole Allis Orange Crate Allis Cowboy Allis in Dairyland Orange Blossom Special ( Has been used on Tractors, 2WD & 4WD Trucks) Ally Cat Agent orange Orange Fever Some of my own CA Allis pullers from the 80s were named: Baby Allis, I still have the grill shell with the letters in baby bocks on it. It could weight under 2000 pounds with me on it and I was told many places that I wasn't welcome to return with that tractor as I took to many plastic trophies from Cub an Pony owners. It could run 3rd gear with a nearly bone stock engine and 12.4X24 tires. Back From Scrap, Sponsored by Samples Sales Call BR549 Clockwork Orange was the turbocharged CA and my favorite All tractor name. Then later I moved the turbo onto a D10 and called it "Clockwork Orange-The Next Generation" At one time I pulled with a B named Little Allis Girl The G I had for the 1500 pound class was called BassAckwards. Nowadays you don't see the originality that was around in the early years. My 1650 Oliver is called "Cummins in Clover" |
|
|
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
