Went and looked at it tonight, it started and ran fine, 3 pt, hyds., pto work fine.  Some of the gauges dont work.  It has a little power director like thing, but instead of a lever like on an allis it is a little sliding switch by the dash that you push up or down to put it in different ranges.

Still thinking about it, but not real hot about Massey's.

If it's got that stupid Massey clutch pedal, you couldn't pay me to take it! I think that's why my left knee is blown out now! LOL! That and the fact that I never got on a Massey that I could finish what I started without having to get off and work on the dang thing. Just my opinion.

The guy wants $1500, it makes me a bit nervous because I don't know much about Masseys.

You can't beat that price.

That sound cheap to me. When I was growing up, Dad had a 65 Diesel. It was a good tractor. It has the two stage clutch and the little lever on the dash is the multipower. It is kind of like the power director on an AC. Dave.

That sliding lever you describe is called multi power.  It gives 2 speed ranges, but no neutral position like the D series.  However, they are not as reliable either.  Since it is a diesel, it would have a Perkins engine - Probably the best thing on the tractor.  It is much like a model 65.  My grandfather had one of those.  The happiest day of his life was when he traded that thing on a AC 175!  That Massey was one problem after another.
