I finished pickin corn Thursday. I had to fix a broken link in the elevator on the Wood Brothers Wednesday so i could pull a wagon behind. It's a good thing I didn't have 100 bushel left in the field or the 45 would have gone down in the soft ground. I only spun a couple times when I was finishing up. The biggest trouble was the lodged stalks that would pull out of the ground instead of going through the picker right. I had a couple rootballs in the wagon and plugged up twice but got a good percentage of the downed corn in the wagon. BrettPhillips was right. I lit a fire tonight with a little newspaper, a couple egg cartons and a bunch of ears with husk on em. I didn't have any helper today so no new pictures. Here's another from last week.

I like the heat shield over manifold on the WD45, Can I barrow that for my tractor this fall?

Don, It really helps keep the carb from frosting up in the winter. If you come help put the heat houser on next fall I won't need the tin and you can have it.

The only mold I saw was on ears that looked underdeveloped. Even the stuff that was down and buried under snow all winter seems fine. Mold won't hurt anything for me anyway.
