I have a question about a D17 III. When you change hydraulic oil is there just one plug to remove or two? My owners manual is for a series 1 and it shows the filler neck in a different location than mine. Is the power director fluid in the same compartment or is that separate?
Thanks.

On a series 3, the compartments are combined and there are two drain plugs but one fill hole/dipstick to the left of the gearshift. Both plugs take a 1 1/8" wrench...one underneath the clutch pedal and the other on the bottom of the hydraulic pump sump. Refill with 22 quarts of hydraulic oil. These fill very slowly and then you'll have to start the engine and let it idle (maybe even with the front wheels downhill) for a few minutes before the oil can make it's way forward to the pump compartment. Change the filter also.
