With the crankshaft installed in the block and one connecting rod installed on the crankshaft, measure down from the top deck as to where the piston pin center is located at TDC. Then, you need to decide what compression ratio you want and calculate from there.

What is a good compression ratio for 110 octane

11:1 would probably be the best choice, not too much stress on the motor and it will run that octane.

Is a farmall c rod 8 inch center to center. You can figure a cr. Needed with pistons. Deck high is like 12.625 inches. Take half your stroke. The rod length and the piston pin higth . Remember your allis head is flat. So any combustion chamber will be in the piston or the space between the piston and the head. Not for sure on the head gasket thickness but felpro one is ? .043 ?.

The rod is 7.250 center to center

I got bored. So here is a Ih 8 cylinder or 4 cylinder truck engine piston that might work. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/slp-h996cp/overview/
