The only thing that could make that cooler is if grandpa bought it new. You have all the history on it and to me, that would be worth its weight in gold! Your grandpas up there telling everyone that's my grandson! I like you, never seen my grandfathers and they didn't farm. Mom an dad bought the farm in 77 and we moved there in 80 and I started farming. The old guy next door taught me how to farm and as far as I was concerned, he was my grandpa. I have his WD45 and his WC that he bought new. Motors are stuck in both of em and I'm going to restore em both. Its good you preserved some family history. My brother bought the old guys farm and I farm it and ya give me the idea to go plow one of his feilds! I have my goal!

Looks Great!!!! No mater what color it is. I think it's GRAET when any old tractor is restored. I love Allis but have restored other colors too. It's part of our past. Another one saved from becoming scrap headed to China!!! GREAT JOB!!!! Gil

Johnny,  That is one outstanding story.  I can only imagine the pride you had that that was YOUR TRACTOR.  It shows very careful restoration of a classic John Deere.  Especially it is your GRANDFATHER'S TRACTOR.
My congratulations on an outstanding restoration.
Good Luck!

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and comments.  I am very proud of the tractor and the restoration.  I hope to hook the plow to it in the next couple of weeks.  I am lucky enough to have met my other grandfather and I also have 2 of his tractors a 70 gas and a 70 diesel both deeres.  I guess the 70d is the next full restoration.  I think they would look cool next to each other.  Again thanks for the comments.
