I'm in the process of splitting a 615 to replace the transmission clutch. Loader is off, all visible hydraulic lines, wires, and mechanical linkages have been disconnected. The only thing I can visibly see that still needs to be separated is the front axle, steering, and maybe the clutch rod (not sure yet).
Am I missing anything? How do you disconnect the steering? Pull the universal joint, grind down the pin holding on the splined knuckle, drive it out and pull the knuckle off? What about the front axle, just pull the main pin? I tried unscrewing the clutch rod but it would barely turn, even with Channel Locks, does this have to be removed prior to the split?
What is the best way to secure the tractor? Jackstand for the rear and Cherry picker for the front? Where would be a good spot to connect the chains for the front.
Lastly, is there anything else I should inspect while the tractor is split?
I welcome any feedback.

Just wanted to update this post in case someone does a search on splitting a I615, I600, or I60, maybe it will answer a few questions.
It really wasn't that difficult, the most difficult part being the removal of the loader. Start by disconnecting all of the obvious wires and lines that will interfere with the split. The two items that I wasn't sure about where the orbital valve and the front axle.
For the orbital valve, remove the two metal lines, remove the two large mounting bolts and pull it off the spline shaft, done. The front axle rear support was a little more difficult. First, remove the large bolt, next, slowly pry tractor apart until there is enough room to remove the four bolts holding on the axle support plate. Remove the plate and keep prying until it comes apart. The flywheel will not clear this plate. Also, there is an oil line that comes out of the clutch housing behind the oil filter, you do not need to disconnect this.
