Was wondering what kind of fuel you guys with higher compression motors were running and what you have experienced. I have a WD45 with higher compression and thought about changing fuel.

Until you get over 8 to 1 compression (170-180 psi cranking compression) you don't need anything better than 87 octane. Now, how high are you ??

VP fuels are very consistant. I run CHP, its oxygenated, and 107 octane. My compression ratio is close to that.

And at that ratio (240 psi??), your ignition timing will need to be around 18 to 20 degrees BTDC and not 30 degrees as marked on the flywheel.

I have checked into ignite 108 it is an ethanol based fuel. I was told it is 90% ethanol. I wasnt really sure about an ethanol because i know ethanol can be real hard on seals and other carb components. I was also told but you can create more power on ethanol but i wasnt sure about that because i dont know alot about ethanol.

14 dollars per gallon. It seems to help tremendously in these
engines that dont take in air well

You will like the CHP except for the price, LOL. someone suggested av gas, it should work but we was having detionation problems with it. You have to drain the carb with the CHP fuel.

It takes more fuel to maintain a good fuel air mixture.. on the old carb we bored the load jet some to get it rich at idle and still see a tad bit of smoke under full load.
