Building a 5.9 cummins and am looking at mechanical supply pump options. dont really want to spend 500+ on a waterman. Any hydraulic pump options out there or what are you guys using to feed your injection pumps?

There are a few options but basically you need a pump which will supply 3 GPM @ 1800 RPM if you drive it at crankshaft speed or a pump of around 6 GPM @ 1800 if it is driven at half of crank speed (front side of injection pump).

Here is a part number for a Tuthill pump which many use. It has it's own built in pressure regulator which is nice.

Tuthill part # 2LEV-CC

We use a Barnes pump from Northern hydraulic with an external regulator and get along fine. Much cheaper, but not as nice. You may call Schied diesel. They do a few Cummins applications. They may have something on the shelf that is a bolt on piece. Columbus Diesel also has supply pumps which work well with internal PSI regulators.

Happy hunting.

I talked to mike at alkydiggers out of Nashville. Very nice guy, he was able to set me up with a rebuilt enderle pump. Seemed like his prices were good and has alot of inventory on hand.
