The Step Down was 29% slower than stock.
At standard RPM, that would be about 2.5 mph in First with 28's and 3 mph with 38's

The Step up was 26% faster
First would be 4.5 mph with 28's and 5.5 with 38's

An overdrive or underdrive (Sherman or Hiesler) from a WC will not, no how, no way, fit in a WD or WD45 chassis.

Gear selection is poor in these tractors.   The transmissions are simple. It wouldn't cost to much to get a couple gears made that were the right ratio.

I was wondering myself how a Sherman was going to get shoehorned into a WD.
