Hello

I am new to this forum. I have recently bought a WM, 1942 Allis Chalmers and was wondering what the world war 2 history is about these machines? I am a world war 2 collector, I want to do my WM in U.S army colours but would like to know its background in world war 2. Any help would be grate. Thanks

Jamie Meachin

There is a picture in C.H.Wendel's book, The Allis Chalmers Story, showing a M being loaded onto a ship, they were used to clear landing strips, and build roads, but nothing about WM's.

WM was just a wide-gauge version of the M crawler.
