I am wanting to build a engine to swap in my stock 45.I am going to use a gleaner block and found a 175 cam with 45 crank.just looking for some setups that others are using. Drop me a p.m

to keep it simple....Use WC flat top with the 45 crank. gives you more compression....and port the head....that's what I have and it runs really well. I have new stock size valves with a three angle valve job with back cut valves as well. I also have one with a actual 175 cam and it is a tough tractor. I on that tractor I am also just running a Gleaner E carb as well....Nothing to special but when done right makes good power. Just my 2 cents...

  Yep, WC is right simple build for lots of power increase. Find a little different piston, or modify yours to increase compression and it make alot of difference.

i wonder why when the hp went up allis engineers increased Main bearing size and used a stiffer block with better oiling system. lol

Not sure you can use a gleaner block and a 45 crank...
