| I drained all the waterlogged oil out of the rear differential and transmission on my 45 C, but I think there's still some trapped in the body of the hydraulic pump. Anyone know how I can get that out of there? I don't want to just pour in new oil and have it end up contaminated with water because of the residual in the pump. Am I crazy to think that I could fill the case up with new fluid, remove the ram from the hydraulic hose, and blow the contaminated oil out of the end of the hose (into a bucket of course)? If that is possible, which way should I move the control lever, up or down? I've never had a chance to use the hydraulics on this tractor yet so I'm unsure which direction does what. |

| that is what i would do. pull the leaver up to run pump ,also have the pto runing first |

| You would ask that when I'm not at the farm. I believe pull both up. One to engage the pump {Use Clutch}, and the one on the right pull up to open valve to blow out oil. |

| If the pump had water in it for any length of time I would pull it apart and make sure every thing would move and seat as it should. You would then know that any damage that could have been done has been repaired. Making sure the water is out is one thing but making sure the rust is out is another. |

By the way, I was assuming it was water in the oil that made it look like it did (see photo). Have I got it right or is there another cause for oil that looks like alfredo sauce?
