thanks for the nice footage! that A had some serious added power underhood, he effortlessly pulled in 2nd gear, didn't even pull the motor down. congrats on 2nd place though.

I think he has 600+ ci. Your insides feel the pressure waves standing next to it.
I ran 1st Hi no problem, should have throttled back some and let it grab more.

What classes do you run the WC in?
I usually run Stock "A" class which means you must run everything stock (that you can see), even weights.
I think I am switching to B class (3.5 mph) to be able to use suitcase weights. With 1 front stack weight, 2 rear WD style, no fluid, I am at 4998 lbs. I have 2 more WD (Different style) weights that put me at 5330. They don't feel 165 lbs each but they are heavy. I think I will make a belly suitcase mount.

Around here its usually just called antique farm. Mine is pretty stock aside from a gov spring and a weight loss diet and a dry air filter setuo. I'm about 205 and I cross the scales at 3250. A lot of places this class is 3.5mph

i believe all the square seat A deeres would have done better in second gear . we dont usualy use creeper gear until 8500 - 10000. The high/ low A did move pretty good but he may have changed out to the creeper gear .

Pank has a allis's that he and his twin sons pull. Dads ole A pulls pretty well in heavy classes. Had to put a starter on it for him saturday so i slung some weights on it and told him we would find a pull this month to pull. His health hasn't been good i don't know if he can pull himshelf up on it but he grinned and said he would like that. when it won the king of hill we had 18.4/38s on it probably should put them back on her. Since the favorite pullers on here don't pull allis tractors i figured dads would fit right in

From now on, you need to pull that D17 in the low side of 2nd gear !!! That is 1/2 MPH faster than the high side of 1st gear. You cannot kill a D17 in low 2....never.

Where can we see you pull your wd? You spent the winter telling us about your after Christmas 7" stroke build, your verry own crank and machine shop so let us know where and when to witness these hot rods in action.

This was the "A" class so you are supposed to pull in 1st gear, plus have stock weights. As you see the rules need to be enforced a little as the signup people put "B" pullers in that class.
