Hi guys, Thought we should post some more pictures of an HD 11B with an angle blade. This is from our AC collection. We have some of both blades. This is a logging tractor and the angle blade is great for pioneering road while the straight blade is more convenient for pushing dirt and general maintenance. This is not a logging operation picture, but it is firewood procurement. Makes it easy and fun. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!

What is the cubic inch size of the engine in these HD 11's ? Any idea of fuel consumption per hour? That hyd. grapple must be the cat's meow for logging!

The HD11s have a 516 cu. inch engine. The HD11B series power shift like this one had 150 H.P. they are turboed and have a 99 gallon fuel tank. On a day when the operator was getting lots of logs and in general abusing the machine, they would get most of the 99 gal. Probably 80 gallons a day, so 8 hr.s, 10 gallons per hour. The grapple tractors were the most abusive on fuel because the operators never took there foot out of it. The 11B roadbuilding, dirt pushing and winch tractors probably only burned 50-60 gallons a day. The grapple tractors are lots of fun to run and sometimes could plug up a landing right quick.
